Engel Albert Finnish-English Daycare

Engel Albert is a bilingual Finnish and English kindergarten in Helsinki. We operate in Punavuori area, and our Finnish-English early childhood education and care caters to children from 1 to 5 years old. The children are divided into functional groups: 1-2-year-olds are in the Dreamers group, 3-year-olds are in the Crafters group, and 4-5-year-olds are in the Seekers group. Five-year-olds are given viskari education.

Finnish and English Kindergarten in Helsinki

Engel Albert is a Finnish and English daycare center located on Sepänkatu street in the Punavuori district of Helsinki. Language-aware early education and bilingualism are part of our daily life. Children at our playschool spend time outdoors in the Sepän leikkipuisto playpark.
 
Engel Albert Playschool is open on weekdays from 7:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

We also offer Finnish-English preschool in Helsinki. All pre-primary education in Engel Kindergartens is organized at Engel Viiskulma daycare, where preschool-aged children can operate in a school-like environment and get to know their future classmates.

Language-aware early childhood education in Helsinki

At Engel Albert, language-aware early childhood education is carried out in both Finnish and English. The daycare staff includes both Finnish- and English-speaking educators, each using their own language with the children.

Hobbies such as music classes and dance are also organized in both Finnish and English. Finnish- and English-speaking daycares are an excellent choice for bilingual children or as a language immersion daycare.

Welcome to Preschool in Helsinki!

Preschool education for all Engel day-care centres is organised at Engel Viiskulma day-care centre so that preschoolers can experience a classroom environment. At the same time, they get to know the future classmates better. Our Finnish and English Preschool in Helsinki follows the autumn and spring term schedules of the city of Helsinki. The pre school year typically begins in August and ends in late May or early June, with slight variations each year.
